COVID-19 cases in Quebec increase again, with 1,355 new infections on Friday

MONTREAL – Quebec reported another significant increase in daily new cases of COVD-19 on Friday, with 1,355 new infections.

This is the highest since April 16.

The province reported 1,196 cases on Wednesday, the highest since April 24, and those numbers declined only slightly on Thursday, to 1,146.

There have been two other deaths, similar to the past two days. Hospitalizations increased slightly, with a sharp increase of three people hospitalized and four more in intensive care.
