Newcastle and Bath both received four points by a Premiership Rugby panel

Newcastle Falcons and Bath both got four points following their respective cancellations on Boxing Day, Premiership Rugby confirmed.

The results were achieved by a Premiership Rugby panel made up of Premiership Rugby President Andy Higginson, Managing Director Darren Childs and Rugby Director Phil Winstanley.

It came like Boxing Day matches – Newcastle v Leicester and Bath v London Irish – were canceled after Leicester and London Irish returned a small number of positive coronavirus tests in this week’s PCR testing.

A number of the Tigers and the Irish squad have been excluded from matches and forced into solitary confinement due to contact tracing, and clubs subsequently closed their training grounds to minimize the impact and spread.

Leicester and London Irish got two points as a result of the survey.
