The conversation is over!
It seems like there’s nothing to talk about when it comes to a second season for Conversations with friends and according to the stars of the show Sasha Lane and Jemima Kirkeits good.
Conversations with friends is based on Sally RooneyThe first novel of 2017, which is why Kirke told E! News that she doesn’t see how a new season “could be”.
“I suppose someone could do it if Rooney allows it,” she continued, “so it’s possible, but it seems kind of gratuitous to do it.”
Conversations with friends follows the introverted Frances (Alison Olivier) and outspoken Bobbi (Lane) as they find themselves in a complicated dynamic with married couple Nick and Melissa (Joe Alwyn and Kirke, respectively).
Lane expressed a similar sentiment regarding season two hopes, revealing that she never thought people would want another installment of the story.
“Everyone wants closure,” Lane noted. “And I’m like, ‘Yeah, think about it. Sit down and go around in circles. Come on, do it on your own. We don’t have to show you that.’
