Colchester and Cheltenham played a 0-0 draw at JobServe Community Stadium to leave the two teams five without a win in League Two.
Colchester came close in the fifth minute when Noah Chilvers escaped the Cheltenham defense but was foiled by goalkeeper Josh Griffiths at his nearby post.
Chilvers’ coiled effort from the edge of Kwame Poku’s short corner area flew a few inches wide shortly after, but Cheltenham felt they could have secured a penalty when Chris Hussey fell under the challenge of Poku in the area.
