Nation justice correspondent Elie Mystal insisted on MSNBC’s The Cross Connection with Tiffany Cross on Saturday that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is one of the “most corrupt judges in American history.”
He lambasted the conservative member of the court for allegedly ‘lecturing’ the American people about respecting the court as an institution after the opinion draft leaked devastatingly when he was so ‘corrupt’.
Host Tiffany Cross sparked the explosion by airing a video of Thomas giving a statement on Friday about the leaked Supreme Court draft notice signaling the end of Roe vs. Wade.

Thomas described the leak as “infidelity” and said the belief in secrecy within the institution was “gone forever”.
In the clip, he added, “When you lose that trust, especially in the institution that I’m in, it fundamentally changes the institution. You start looking over your shoulder. It’s kind of like of infidelity that you can explain it, but you can’t undo it,” he told the audience.
After the video ended, Mystal wasted no time in burying the Supreme Court judge under a pile of convictions.
Mystal began by stating, “Clarence Thomas is arguably, along with his wife, the most corrupt judge in American history.”
“In American history, we’ve never had a situation where a judge’s spouse is arguing for things, pinning medals on people and then bringing them into their spouse’s courtroom. just doesn’t happen,” he continued.

The left is furious that Thomas’ wife Ginni texted White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows urging him to challenge Donald Trump’s 2020 election defeat in the months after the election .
Thomas’s wife is a lawyer who runs a political lobbying firm and has a history of conservative political activism, which has raised concerns among liberals that she has influenced the court in some way.
Mystal ripped into Thomas’ alleged hypocrisy. “For one of – if not the – most corrupt judges in American history to lecture other people about the sanctity of the institution is incredibly insulting, but that’s what Clarence Thomas.”
He then denounced the lack of responsibility: “Who is going to control it? Who is going to control these people? Who is going to say to Clarence Thomas: ‘No’?”
He continued: “And when you look at people who are frustrated with the response to these people, it’s – who is going to tell these people ‘No’? Who is going to tell these people, ‘Stop’? Who is going to tell these people” these people, “so far” and “no further”? And so far the answer is, no one.”
“No one is ready to tell these people to stop and that’s why we are here,” he concluded.
