Chelsea ‘ACCEPT deal with Ivan Perisic’, Lukaku castigates his OWN agent

Hello Blues Fans

Chelsea reportedly close to signing Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic

Sport Mediaset claim terms have been agreed on a stunning free transfer this summer.

Perisic rejected a new offer from Inter following their Coppa Italia win over Juventus.

And he is set to arrive at Stamford Bridge as a replacement for left-back Marcos Alonso, who is keen to join Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel has given an update on Mateo Kovacic’s fitness ahead of the FA Cup final against Liverpool.

He said: “It’s quite surprising to be in the situation where we can try, and Mateo wants to try it – and the medical department has given the green light to try it.

“The ‘advantage’ is that the ligament is already torn from the last incident (in the FA Cup semi-final), so there is no new injury, just severe pain. His ankle was very swollen.

“We hope he might have enough time to get there. We’ll try in two and a half hours in training, and we’ll know more.”

Finally, Tuchel had his say on Romelu Lukaku’s public argument with his agent.

Tuchel said: “I think if he plans to speak with the owner, it might not be his intention to speak with me. That’s fair enough. Let’s see if he gets a meeting. That’s its right. We’ll talk to anyone.

“We will assess any situation of any player, including Romelu. We will see what will happen and what the plans are.

“I was only told about it five or ten minutes ago, actually. That’s what happens sometimes in football.

“Attention is so high that it sometimes attracts situations that you don’t want to have before the big games. That’s how it is.

“For me, that’s not a distraction and I hope for everyone working in the team and the team itself, that’s not the case.”
