Celine Dion cancels world tour amid health battle

Celine Dion is not yet ready to return to the stage.
As a result, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer, who was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder in 2022, has officially canceled her Courage World Tour.
“So sorry to disappoint you all once again,” Dion wrote in a May 26 Instagram post. “I’m working very hard to rebuild my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re at 100%. It’s not fair for you to keep postponing concerts, and although it breaks my heart, it better call it off now until I’m really ready to get back on stage.”
“I want you all to know that I’m not giving up,” she added, “and I can’t wait to see you again!”
The 55-year-old’s announcement comes five months after she shared her diagnosis of stiff person syndrome, a condition that can cause muscle spasms.
“I’ve been dealing with health issues for a long time,” she told fans in an Instagram video from December, “and it’s been really hard for me to deal with those challenges and talk about all the stuff. I lived. .”
