CANELO ALVAREZ has been offered a fight against Jermall Charlo when he returns – or a two-fight deal with Dmitry Bivol and Gennady Golovkin.

The Mexican superstar is a free agent and not aligned with a single promoter or television company and free to go his own way.

According to ESPNAl Haymon’s PBC banner offered Canelo a one-fight deal to headline the pay-per-view against American Charlo.

While Eddie Hearn has a double-header package, which would see Alvarez move up to lightweight to face Bivol and then a trilogy fight with GGG.

Charlo, 31, is the current undefeated WBC middleweight champion but has long feuded with Canelo, 31, who is campaigning a division up at super middleweight.

Alvarez has completed his final fight of 2021 under PBC, beating 29-year-old Caleb Plant to become the undisputed king.

It took in a guaranteed £30m, with that figure increasing after box office success, where 800,000 PPVs were sold.

Staying with Haymon’s stable on Showtime or Fox could prove a lucrative choice for Canelo.

But, following his split from Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy banner in 2020, Alvarez would fight three times under Hearn, while remaining on the DAZN streaming service.

His wins over 31-year-old Callum Smith, 30-year-old Avni Yildirim and 32-year-old Billy Joe Saunders all contributed to his road to undisputed glory.

Accepting Hearn’s proposal would offer Canelo the chance to win another belt at light heavyweight, having won the WBO version in 2019.

But after a knockout late in the 11th round against 38-year-old Russian Sergey Kovalev, he vacated the title to drop back in weight.

Hearn wants Canelo to make history and go undisputed at two weights, with the pound-for-pound No. 1 also linked to knockout artist Artur Beterbiev, 37.

Bivol, 31, has held the title since 2017 and defended it last May in Manchester against Briton Craig Richards, 31.

Perhaps the most lucrative fight for Canelo in boxing is a trilogy with longtime rival Golovkin, 39.

The pair drew in 2017 with GGG unhappy not to receive the verdict, only for the Kazakhs to lose in the thrilling rematch a year later.

The two sold over 1 million PPVs, but the two would go separate ways.

Golovkin has remained at middleweight, where he reigns as the IBF title holder and is set to unify it with the WBA belt against 36-year-old Japanese Ryota Murata.

But Canelo warned GGG that he had to increase his weight for the first time to secure a third installment in their series.

Hearn is able to come up with the trilogy, having signed Golovkin, who fights on DAZN.

Canelo had a request accepted by the WBC to move to CRUISERWEIGHT and attempt a fifth world title.

But tough champion Ilunga Makabu, 34, appears on the shelf for now.
