Callum Wilson suffered a horrific injury on his return to Newcastle’s starting XI after the striker’s tooth was dislodged during their clash against Arsenal.
The 30-year-old received sideline treatment in the 27th minute as cameras showed his gum bleeding as his right front tooth hung out.
To Wilson’s credit, he no doubt returned to action almost instantly despite his mouth no doubt in severe pain.
It’s bad luck for the striker, who is making his first start since suffering a calf injury that has kept him out since January.
The match at St James’ Park is currently scoreless and Arsenal need a win to retain control of their destiny in their bid to finish in the top four.
