Bromhead pair feature in top tier entries at Dublin Racing Festival | Race news

A Plus Tard and Minello Indo are on their way to the Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup on day two of the Dublin Racing Festival.

The duo formed by Henry de Bromhead highlights the list of 12 possibilities for the February 7 centerpiece after their various fortunes over Christmas.

Minella Indo was sent off as a favorite for the Savills Chase in Leopardstown but was a first casualty, while A Plus Tard ended with a wet sail to catch Kemboy and Melon.

The duo Willie Mullins could be in opposition again, as could their teammate Castlebawn West, but there was no appearance for two-time Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Al Boom Photo.

Delta Work by Gordon Elliott, Presenting Percy, Samcro and The Storyteller are all in attendance, but there are no UK entries for the Grade Ones over the two days of the Big Reunion.

Elliott’s dispatch Allen is one of 17 in the Flogas Novice Chase, in which he could be joined by his stable mate Andy Dufresne and Pencilfulloflead.

Mullins’ monkfish, Colreevy and Asterion Forlonge all have the option.

The impressive first winner, French Aseel, now that Mullins has been redeemed from Ellmarie Holden’s backyard, is among 16 at the Tattersalls Ireland Spring Juvenile Hurdle.

Elliott’s Zanahiyr has created a big impression to date and is said to be a top contender with his fellow Duffle Coat and Quilixios.

A total of 25 promising types were entered in the Chanelle Pharma Novice Hurdle over two miles.

Once again the roster is dominated by Mullins and Elliott with Appreciate It possibly Mullins’ main prospect although he gave the Gaulish mare an entry against the boys.

A day earlier, Each For Self appeared as one of 11 in the Ladbrokes Dublin Chase.

Jessica Harrington’s duo, Sizing Pottsie and Impact Factor, have been signed up with Samcro.

De Bromhead’s top mare, Honeysuckle, leads nine in the Chanelle Pharma Irish Champion Hurdle.

Winner of the race last year, she could face her teammate Aspire Tower while Mullins entered Sharjah, Saint Roi and Saldier.

Wednesday’s impressive winner Energumene is one of 15 in the Irish Arkle in which Mullins could also lead Asterion Forlonge, Franco De Port and Unxcepted.

Sending Allen also has the option of two miles with Felix Desjy and Paul Nolan’s latest show.

In the Nathaniel Lacy Solicitors Novice Hurdle, there are 36 in the mix, including Mullins ‘Ganapathi, the Gentlemansgame formed by Mouse Morris and Emmet Mullins’ Cape Gentleman.
