Brighton & Hove Albion v Arsenal Live Commentary & Result, 12/29/2020, Premier League

BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION (4-4-1-1): Robert Sanchez; Joel Veltman, Adam Webster, Lewis Dunk, Dan Burn; Davy Propper, Yves Bissouma, Pascal Gross, Bernardo; Alexis Mac Allister; Alireza Jahanbakhsh.

But there is no time to feel sorry for themselves as they welcome an Arsenal side who have just won an impressive 3-1 victory over Chelsea. The Gunners hadn’t won in seven heading into the London derby, a race that had them dangerously close to the relegation zone. However, with a bit of a breather Mikel Arteta will be hoping for back-to-back Premier League wins with a debut victory at the Amex Stadium.

With both teams firmly in the bottom half of the table, there are three big points up for grabs here. Brighton almost finished their five-game winless streak in their last outing but had to settle for an away point against West Ham after the home side caught them twice. 16th place is not a true reflection of Graham Potter’s team, which performed much better than their 13-point tally suggests.

Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the Premier League fixture between Brighton and Hove Albion and Arsenal from Amex Stadium.
