The Ugrahan faction of the Bharatiyan Kisan Union (BKU) on Friday welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to repeal the three controversial farm laws.
“It is a good move by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Gurupurab,” said Joginder Singh Ugrahan, leader of the Ugrahan faction of BKU. PTI.
On the prime minister’s call for protesting farmers to return home, Ugrahan said “farmers unions will sit together and decide the future course of action.”
BKU (Ugrahan) is the largest among all the farmers’ unions protesting on the Tikri border. The Ugrahan faction of the BKU has a considerable presence in Punjab.
Several farmers’ unions have been protesting on the borders of the national capital since last year to demand the repeal of three agricultural laws.
