breaking news Forexlive Americas FX News Wrap: Happy Thanksgiving. The JPY is the strongest. USD lower.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is a special day in the United States where the purpose is simply to give thanks for your blessings. It’s the purest of vacations, meaning all-inclusive, thoughtful, full of great food, family and friends. I share my feelings of thanks to all of you in the community. I very much appreciate your support and wish you, your family and friends the best. Peace to you all.

Strongest to weakest major currencies

It was a quiet day in the North American session.

However, the JPY seems to end the day as the strongest of the majors. The CHF is the weakest. The USD is weaker again. The greenback has been falling for three consecutive days.

Looking at the daily chart of the DXY, the index is approaching the 200-day MA at 105.27 (and rising). The price has not traded below the MA since June 2021. The 50% of the 2022 range is below 104.86. Two key technical goals in the future to be aware of. A move below each increases the bearish technical bias, but the levels should give sellers reason to pause at least at first glance.

DXY closes in on key targets
