breaking news A “positive” first day for the health pass – France

breaking news

“It was a great source of concern. There, it is a real relief ”. At the Château du Taureau ticket office, Kelenn beach in Carantec, Wednesday was a decisive day. Like many other places of leisure and culture, the health pass is now compulsory. “We feared a big loss of customers and a blow to the back of the head for our team,” explains Emilie Quéméneur, operations manager of Château du Taureau. But the visits have been full all day and the atmosphere is good with the customers, who are understanding ”.

The management of this sanitary pass, in the running-in phase, caused a few delays at start-up. “It is sometimes complicated to control, when it is not our vocation. Fortunately, people are really playing the game by automatically showing us their certificate and identity document, ”says Agnès Rospars, CCIMBO’s covid referent, who came to provide her support for the first day. Teams cannot be reinforced, so that workload falls on the six people in place across the site. The game is worth the candle for the holders of the sesame. “We feel more serene because there is real health security”, breathes Aurélie, a tourist visiting the region. But for the others, the blow is hard.

“The delay makes our holidays difficult”

At the entrance to the Leclerc Fund, in Landerneau, Pascale and her husband are disillusioned: they were rejected at the entrance. “My sister and my daughter were able to come in, but we couldn’t. We have our certificate but it will only be valid on Friday, ”she laments. Faced with a few cases of this kind on this first morning, management points to the case of the nightclub cluster in Bordeaux to emphasize the importance of not making exceptions. “The timeframe for setting up this health pass complicates our holidays. Fortunately, the deadline has been reduced from 14 to 7 days to validate the vaccination ”.

So, to get around the system, some people play with the rule. “We use a 49-seat gauge for all our screenings because the health pass starts from 50 people in a cultural venue,” explains Brice Rousseau, the manager of the Rialto cinema in Morlaix. Some films would have filled the theaters but it is believed that this will exclude fewer viewers. In any case, we did not have the means to manage that ”. In return, wearing a mask is always compulsory. “We got used to it and it allows us to go to the movies together. It’s a lesser evil, ”said a delighted group of three people, one of whom was waiting for the second dose. The break-in is still in place in the various places affected by the sanitary pass, but the beginnings are promising for a summer not so upset as expected.
