Beyoncé pays tribute to Tina Turner’s “strength and resilience” after her death

Beyonce pays tribute to the late Tina Turner.

After learning the queen of rock & roll passed away on May 24 at age 83, the “Halo” singer penned a heartfelt post in her honor.

“My beloved queen. I love you infinitely,” she wrote on her website. “I am so grateful for your inspiration and all the ways you have paved the way. You are strength and resilience. You are the embodiment of power and passion. We are all so lucky to have witnessed your kindness and your beautiful spirit that forever. Thank you for all you have done.

Along with the note, Beyoncé shared a throwback photo of her and Tina bowing to each other as they held hands after performing “Proud Mary” at the 2008 Grammys.

“I think I’m going to cry at the end of the performance because it’s really like those things you actually dream about,” the ‘Formation’ artist had said. The Oprah Winfrey Show during rehearsals for the event. “Being on stage with her is crazy, and I can’t believe it.”
