Bayern Munich striker Kingsley Coman, who won the Champions League and ten league titles, explains his surprise love for Bolton Wanderers

Coman has won ten league titles in as many seasons since making his debut as a 16-year-old at Paris Saint-Germain.

Bayern’s Coman has revealed his affinity for a surprise club in England

The 26-year-old is currently in his eighth season with Bayern Munich and won the National League trophy last term – the tenth for the Bavarian giants.

After scoring the winner in the Champions League final against former club PSG, he achieved great success along the way.

While he’s a fan of players like Barcelona legend Ronaldinho and former team-mate Franck Ribery, no one would have thought Jay-Jay Okocha and Kevin Nolan would be on their side.

In an interview with ESPNComan has revealed the surprise England team he supported growing up.

The ex-Juventus star Coman was asked: ‘If you had to support any team in the UK, who would it be?

The Frenchman replied: “Bolton, I loved this team when I was young.”

He probably watched Sam Allardyce’s side in the 2004/05 season when Bolton finished 6th in the Premier League.

The team included the likes of Okocha, Kevin Davies, Ricardo Gardner and Jussi Jaaskelainen, and of course led by talkSPORT friend Sam Allardyce.

Of Coman’s shocking claims, one fan said:Kevin Nolan and Kevin Davis inspire a generation.

Another commented: “Running around a Parisian suburb pretending to be Henrik Pedersen.”

Meanwhile another said: ‘It’s up there with John Carew supporting Scarborough.’
