Kay Adams called Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson “ the performance of the wild card weekend ” after beating the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans knocked out the Jackson Ravens from the playoffs last year, when they also beat them 30-24 in overtime earlier this season. In their revenge win this weekend, Jackson ran for 136 yards, including an epic 48-yard touchdown, while Marquise Brown also had a day with over 100 receiving yards.

Asked about NFL overtime (Sky Sports NFL, Tuesdays, 9 p.m.) which player was the star of the weekend, Hello football Host Adams was adamant in her response, “I would say Lamar Jackson. What he was able to do.

“There were two stories around our reigning MVP, that he can’t come back from behind and he can’t win a big game, but he took care of the business against a team that bullied him him and his team.

“They did it epic; this race was perhaps the best I have seen in playoff history – his own trainer said it was the best race he had seen by a quarterback – and I was so impressed with the way he was able to use his legs.

“The running game was impressive with JK Dobbins but, more importantly, Marquise Brown – a first-round pick [in the 2019 Draft] who didn’t really do what he was supposed to do to realize his potential – he really stepped up and shone in his greatest moment.

“I expect to see more. But they have a tough game coming up in Buffalo, bad weather, but we’ll see what they can do.”

Sky Sports NFL expert Jeff Reinebold also praised Jackson, especially the way he rebounded after throwing an early interception, which contributed to their 10-0 delay in the first quarter.

“He showed up. My man is so good,” Reinebold said. “The Titans made it tough, Ryan Tannehill was good at the start but Lamar has the arms and legs to beat you.

“The biggest thing is he made a few mistakes early on, but when he came back he came back!

“He’s playing the game at a speed that feels like a Madden game.”
