MANCHESTER UNITED owner Avram Glazer refused to answer when asked why he decided to sell the club.
The Glazer family put the club up for sale on Tuesday after years of fan backlash and protests against their ownership.
But the American refused to reveal the motivation behind putting the club on the market.
He said Sky: “The board has gone through a process and decided to explore different strategic options for Manchester United.”
Earlier this week, a statement from the family highlighted their desire “to explore strategic alternatives for the club”.
The controversial American owners are ready to sell the club outright, with a deal expected to be worth around £9 BILLION.
Glazer also spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the club this week and he had nothing but kind words for the Portuguese.
He added: “Well, I’ll tell you about Cristiano Ronaldo – he’s a great Manchester United player, I appreciate everything he’s done for the club.
“I wish Ronaldo the best of luck for the future.”
The decision to terminate Ronaldo’s contract came after the superstar criticized several areas of the club.

He revealed he didn’t respect Erik ten Hag and also criticized the appointment of Ralf Rangnick – who he hadn’t heard of until his arrival last season.
But Ronaldo also condemned Glazer’s ownership of United, saying the club had not progressed since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure in 2013.
