Atletico Madrid are in talks with Barcelona over Antoine Griezmann’s shock return.
The France international has been criticized for struggling to regain form from his Atleti days at Camp Nou.
The 30-year-old has only scored 35 goals in 101 appearances for La Blaugrana since his successful £ 103million transfer from the Spanish capital in 2019.
According to talkSPORT transfer guru Alex Crook, Atletico “has every chance” to seal a loan for the Frenchman, with an option for a permanent deal expected at the end of the season.
Fabrizio Romano added that the move is at an advanced stage and should be completed before the 11pm deadline.
Elsewhere in Spain, Real Madrid have landed one of football’s most promising prospects in another big Deadline Day deal.
Edouardo Camavinga, once a target for Manchester United and Chelsea, has moved to the Bernabeu for a fee of around £ 35million.
Camavinga, who was in the final year of his Rennes contract, was heavily linked with a Premier League stint all summer, but instead joined Real Madrid on a six-year contract.
The midfielder has three senior caps for France to his name, but is highly regarded as a player of the future.
