Arsenal fans have welcomed the signing of Leandro Trossard over Mykhailo Mudryk following this weekend’s Premier League action.
The Belgian winger, who signed from Brighton in January for £27million, has enjoyed a blistering start to life at the Emirates, summed up by him scoring the only goal in the 1-0 win over Everton on Sunday .

The Gunners had initially considered signing Ukrainian winger Mudryk during the winter window, but the move was hijacked by London rivals Chelsea.
However, the £88.5million man has been unable to provide Chelsea with the firepower Blues fans would have hoped for, providing two assists in all competitions since his arrival despite scoring 10 goals scored for Shakhtar Donetsk in the first half of last season.
While Trossard scored a stunning goal on Merseyside, Mudryk struggled to make an impact during a frustrating 0-0 draw against Bournemouth which saw the Blues booed for a second successive game.
Now Arsenal fans are all saying the same thing about the 22-year-old’s failure to sign, claiming Trossard was the best January signing all along.

“Trossard vs. Mudryk is a done deal,” one wrote on X.
“Trossard was supposed to settle for less as they missed out on Mudryk, but it looks like this is the best option at the moment,” said another.
A third added: “New season and Trossard still making an impact ahead of Mudryk.”
Mudryk attempted three crosses at the Vitality Stadium, but was unable to complete any of them, and lost three of his attacking duels.

Speaking after the match, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino gave an honest insight into his winger’s current form, saying he still needs to ‘learn’.
“He’s getting better,” he said. “He still needs to learn, the Premier League is very fast, the speed of the game is so fast. I think it’s about understanding the game better, trying to be more connected with the game sometimes. team.
“We have to give him the time and the tools to improve over the course of the season. We have to be tough in our efforts. It’s about improving our efficiency in front of goal.”
