Arnaut Danjuma scores on Tottenham debut despite being ‘not ready and needs time’ by assistant ahead of FA Cup win over Preston
Tottenham fans could see Arnaut Danjuma score on his debut, although the new signing isn’t even ready.
Scoring the third goal in a 3-0 FA Cup win over Preston, the Dutchman greeted his new fans in the best of ways after two earlier efforts from Heung-min Son.

But immediately got to work after being substituted in the 71st minute
Signing up expertly after a withdrawal from Dejan Kulusevski, the recently signed loanee got off to a perfect start, just three days after fending off Everton to sign up in north London.
A Netherlands international, Danjuma was available on loan from Villarreal, a possibility Everton were delighted with, only for the 25-year-old to turn around.
He will now help Antonio Conte charge into the Champions League, and the early signs are impressive.
More so, giving pre-match commentary by Spurs assistant boss Cristian Stellini.
The Italian explained: “The only player that we realize might not be ready like the others is Arnaut because he’s a new player.
“We are happy, but we have to give him time to figure everything out.”

But the winger, who made the Champions League semi-finals last season, looked more than ready, despite having played just one minute of football since January 3.
The extra competition up front also seemed to work as a wake-up call for Son, whose brace comes amid criticism from the Korean for failing to live up to last season’s high standards.
