He was 25 years old.
Cloud grew up in the Bay Area and was born in Oakland. He attended the Oakland School for the Arts.
In a statement released by his family, they noted that he buried his father last week and “struggled intensely with this loss”.
Here’s a preview of their full statement:
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, friend, brother and son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and struggled intensely with the loss. Our only comfort is knowing that Angus is now reunited with his father, who was his best friend. Angus has been open about his battle with sanity and we hope his passing will remind others that they are not alone and shouldn’t be struggling alone in silence.
We hope the world will remember him for his humor, his laughs and his love for everyone. We ask for confidentiality at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
HBO released a statement on Twitter in writing:
“We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was extremely talented and part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
