An Islamic State sympathizer allegedly threatened to “slaughter” cops and “kill the fat rat mayor” of a New York suburb during a St. Patrick’s Day parade attended by tens of thousands.
Ridon Kola, 32, was arrested on Friday and slapped with federal charges after months of threatening messages to police and city officials in Yonkers, which is the fourth largest city in New York state, and social media posts “declaring war on America”.

Three days earlier, on March 6, Kola allegedly messaged Yonkers police saying he was “looking for this officer who came to my home and threatened to kill me and my family,” according to reports. court documents.

The next day, Yonkers police attended Kola’s home and he allegedly admitted to sending the messages, according to court documents. Police searched his home but found no weapons.
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano thanked law enforcement for “thwarting this threat” in a statement to Fox News Digital and said he looked forward to Saturday’s parade which begins at 1 p.m.
