The Egyptian champions won the continental trophy against the Moroccan team in a match played at the Jassim Bin Hamad stadium in Doha, Qatar on Friday night.

It was Mosimane’s third major trophy at the club, having guided the team to the Egyptian Cup and Caf Champions League title last season.

“I didn’t give them instructions to play long balls, but I did ask them to calm down and play on the floor in the second half. From there the performance improved a lot and we scored both goals. “

Mosimane, who won 11 major trophies with South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns between 2012 and 2020, is keen for the Red Devils to retain the Champions League title, the Egyptian Premier League trophy and the Egyptian Cup. this trimester.

“It’s Al Ahly. We are always bound to win. Now that we have won the African Super Cup, from the next match, the fans will ask us to win the league, the African Champions League and all the tournaments, ”he concluded.

Al Ahly has now completed the continental double for the 2021 season after winning both the Champions League and the Super Cup.

They are set to face Tunisian giant Esperance de Tunis in the first-leg semi-final next month, but before that, the Red Devils will face ENPPI SC in the round of 16 of the Egyptian Cup on June 4.
