Ola Aina’s strike against West Bromwich Albion has been heralded as Fulham’s best goal of the 2020-21 campaign.
The winger’s breathtaking effort ignored competition from Mario Lemina and Nigerian-born English star Ademola Lookman to win the individual award.
Bobby Decordova-Reid gave Scott Parker’s men a 26th-minute lead before Torino Loanee doubled the lead four minutes later.
Big exchanges between Aleksandar Mitrovic and Decordova-Reid saw the first set up the Super Eagles star. He then thundered his left footed thunderbolt into Sam Johnstone’s upper left corner from the edge of the area.
While his beauty won 38.7% of all votes cast, Fabio Carvalho’s first senior goal finished second ahead of goals from Tom Cairney and Gabonese international Lemina.
Aina’s goal against Slaven Bilic’s side also made the cut for the Premier League’s goal of the season tiara. However, the distinction was won by Erik Lamela of Tottenham Hotspur.

The Nigerian joined Fulham on a one-season loan from the Italian elite division, to bolster Parker’s defensive options.
Despite having played 31 league games for them, the Craven Cottage giants have been demoted to second English tier.
Even in relegation, Aina said he enjoyed his time at the London club.
“A lot of people ask me this question all the time, and even though we’ve been relegated, I’ve loved every minute of this season,” he said.
“I loved the challenge, the coaching staff, my teammates and I also loved the club. I loved this club, it’s a very nice club.
“The club has become a part of me and all the other players on loan, and I think you can see that.
“Off the pitch we’ve always been very close to each other. We like each other’s company, so it’s a great group.
“We really care about this season and how we’ve done it. It went wrong, but trust me, we really care. “
