A police officer attacked with a knife near Nantes, a suspect arrested

This Friday morning, a municipal policewoman was seriously injured in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, near Nantes. According to a source familiar with the matter, “his prognosis is vital”. “I can confirm this attack with a knife”, simply indicated the gendarmerie of Pays-de-la-Loire, while 80 gendarmes were engaged to find the fleeing suspect. A dramatic accident kills one in Plouharnel

Shortly after 9 a.m., an accident occurred at Bégo, in Plouharnel (56), between a motorcycle and a car. The emergency services, at the scene around 9:20 a.m., failed to revive the biker, in his forties. The 21st edition of the Bout du Monde festival, in a new four-day format, with a single stage in Landaoudec, will see many artists scheduled for 2020 coming this year. France maintains its target of 5% GDP growth in 2021

“The government’s objective remains a GDP growth of 5% in 2021”, declared Bruno Le Maire after the sharp downward revision of this indicator in the 1st quarter. According to INSEE, the gross domestic product actually fell by 0.1% in the 1st quarter, against + 0.4% previously announced. The institute also reviewed the extent of the recession in 2020: GDP finally fell by 8%, against 8.2% previously estimated. CAP: no agreement in Brussels, negotiations resumed in June

MEPs and EU Member States failed to reach an agreement on the new CAP, intended to “green” European agriculture from 2023. After three days of negotiations, “a number of crucial issues remain unresolved.
