Abilene Christian University Receives $29 Million Gift, Largest in School History | KTA

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Abilene Christian University received the largest academic donation in school history – $29 million that will be used to support students and fundraising programs.
The late Dr. Bill and Janie Dukes donated their estate, and the funds will be used to establish the Dr. William P. and Janie B. Dukes Excellence in Finance Endowment.
The majority of the donation will be used to fund student scholarships and create endowed faculty positions, enabled Abilene Christian University to launch the Dukes School of Finance at the College of Business Administration in 2023.

“This hugely generous gift presents an ongoing funding base that allows us to recharge and dream to a whole new level about the courses, experiences and outcomes we can deliver to our finance students,” said Dr. Brad Crisp, dean of the College of Business Administration.
