A recent high school graduate shot a car 8 times in Southeast Oklahoma City


An 18-year-old woman who recently graduated from high school was shot multiple times while sitting in a car on Monday in southeast Oklahoma City. “It’s just a total shock. We’re numb,” Scott Malloy said of his granddaughter, Lexi Crawford. “She just got caught in a car shootout. She received seven bullets and an eighth bullet grazed her. Malloy told KOCO 5 that Crawford graduated from Del City High School days before the shooting near South East 44th Street and Sunnylane Road.

“The next chapter is adulthood. What a terrible way to start your adult life,” he said.

Police describe the shooting as brutal.

“It was by the grace of God that she was not killed because she was shot so many times,” said Staff Sgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department.
