51-year-old admits he ‘fatally stabbed his wife after he caught her cheating on her’ because he ‘accepted nothing less than death’

A MAN reportedly admitted to killing his wife after learning of his affair, saying he ‘would accept nothing less than death’ as ​​punishment.

Curtis Williams, 61, was arrested after calling 911 and allegedly confessed to killing his wife at their Indiana home on Tuesday, WRTV reported.

Williams allegedly killed 51-year-old Claudette Williams and was caught with a non-fatal laceration to her arm.

The mark is believed to have been self-inflicted.

Officers believe Williams may have wanted to file a complaint in self-defense or attempted suicide.

Some of his statements were recorded in a probable cause affidavit, in which Williams repeatedly admitted to killing his wife, saying his behavior was ‘unacceptable’ and that he ‘accepts nothing less than death’ .

Williams spoke to investigators while being treated at a hospital for the cut on his arm.

“I lost my mind, man,” he said.

“I destroyed my life.”

Williams said he did not come home Monday night and when he returned Tuesday morning he found his wife in bed with another man.

He reportedly chased the man out of his house and claimed his wife stabbed him with a kitchen knife.

“She tried to stop me from grabbing her and cutting myself, and I cut her,” he said.

The police entered the house and found Claudette dead at the scene.

While she had a knife in her hand, authorities said the droplets of blood did not indicate she had used it to cut someone.

“It appears that the blue-handled kitchen knife was placed in Claudette’s hand after her death in order to stage the scene,” Detective Travis Thompson said in a court document.

“I believe Curtis Williams Sr.’s injury was a self-inflicted injury in order to establish an allegation of self-defense or suicide.”

Williams has been charged with murder and is being held without bond, according to county records.

It’s unclear if Williams has pleaded at this time.
