11-year-old New Jersey boy surfs 700+ days straight for charity

NEW JERSEY (WABC) — A fifth-grader from New Jersey had a great time, and it was all for charity.

Carter Doorley, 11, has surfed 722 days in a row.

It all started as a solution to confinement during the COVID pandemic.

But now Doorley uses his surf to raise money for different charities.

He has already collected over 2,600 cans for a local food pantry, raised $1,500 for Surf-Aid and over $1,000 for Save the Children.

Now he is focused on helping a local animal rescue.
