Investigators say the 16-year-old driver pulled over after the crash and fled the truck with his 14-year-old sister.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Nearly a dozen teenagers were injured after a truck slammed into a bus stop near a Fresno high school on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. outside Roosevelt High School near Tulare and Cedar Avenues.
Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer said a 16-year-old driver was speeding in a truck when it crashed into a FAX bus stop where 20 students were waiting.
11 of the students were hit and transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
After the crash, investigators say the driver pulled over and fled the truck with his 14-year-old sister.
Police said a family member picked up the driver and his sister and left the scene.
Officers arrested the nearby family member on Ventura and Orange and placed the 16-year-old under arrest.
The accident is currently being investigated as a hit-and-run.
The Fresno Unified School District released a statement about the crash, writing:
“We are aware that there was an accident outside of Roosevelt High School in which several of our students were struck by an out of control vehicle while waiting at a FAX bus stop. Emergency responders are on site and our Fresno Unified Emergency Response Team is also on scene providing support. Our team is also deploying mental health supports to the site. Please keep our students and our Roosevelt team in your thoughts.
Cedar was closed in Tulare for several hours but has since reopened.
